The balance of the treatment must be paid in full at least one week before the start date of the course in order for your enrolment to be successful.

Semi-permanent make up is a revolutionary method of inserting small amounts of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin in order to enhance a woman's features. This course will guide you through the different SPMU treatments and leave you fully qualified to do them yourself.

Entry Requirements: This course is designed for beginners, however, students are required to have a NVQ L3  or equivalent, including eyebrow shaping, skin treatments and some A&P knowledge. Students must be 18+.

What Do I Need to Know Before I Start the Course? Suitable for trainees of all levels. Students must be 18+. The course is made up of 6 days training 1-2-1, then a separate assessment day. The assessment day starts with questions, problem solving, help and guidance in the morning, then performing a complete Semi permanent makeup (eyebrows or eyeliner or lips) procedure on your model (unaided) in the afternoon. An ABT, Professional Beauty Direct and BIA Accredited Certificate can only be awarded on successful completion, and meeting all requirements and criteria of the assessment. Assessment days run every month so you can book on when you have completed your case studies. Students can provide their own models on practical days of the course, and one model on  Assessment Day. Models must: be 18+, not pregnant or breast feeding, not have fillers around treatment area, have no cuts or abrasions in or close to any treatment area, not about to visit any hot climates or have a recent suntan and must complete a patch test prior to treatment. We recommend you bring your own lunch.

Licensing: Semi Permanent Makeup is classified as a ‘medical’ treatment and needs to be carried out on a licensed premises. This special licence can be obtained from your local council, who will visit and inspect the premises/treatment area. There will be a fee for this licence and each district council has its own requirements and cost, so check with your local authority prior to booking this course. These treatments CANNOT be carried out on a mobile basis - only premises that hold a licence.

Insurance: Not all insurance companies cover this procedure, so please check with your own insurance company first. Being classed as ‘medical’, there will be an extra premium to add on to existing insurance. This is an ABT, Professional Beauty Direct and BIA accredited course where insurance is given. As well this course has been approved by Insync Insurance.

 
Case Studies: Certificates will not be issued until all 10 case studies have been completed and the assessment has been passed to the satisfaction of the assessor. Students must complete this within 3 months of taking the course. 


Equipment: Student will have to purchase their own equipment for completing 10 case studies (information will be given on attendance of the course)

Will I need to bring any materials? All materials will be provided for you on the day of the course. You will also receive an Focus Awards level 4 certificate in Micropigmentation (RQF).

Microblading is a semi permanent cosmetic tattooing treatment that fills in sparse eyebrows. The technique uses a hand-held tool with needles to apply pigment that simulate additional hairs.

This 5 day course will provide you with all the knowledge required to complete this treatment on your own clients.

Entry Requirements: This course is designed for beginners, however, students are required to have a NVQ L3  or equivalent, including eyebrow shaping, skin treatments and some A&P knowledge. Students must be 18+.

The Level 4 Chemical peel course covers all the core knowledge you need for carrying out chemical peels with any of the different acids. With the vast variety of different peeling agents all having different pH and percentage strengths, different modes of action, methods of application and intended depth of penetration, chemical peeling is a complex skill with considerable risk to the client’s skin. However, if performed correctly, it is a very safe and efficacious remedial skin treatment for a wide variety of conditions including collagen loss and laxity, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and acne scarring.

 
Requirements
 
It is advance treatment you need to hold NVQ 3 in beauty or SPMU qualification. We provide you with a comprehensive autonomous training program, which will enable you to choose and work effectively with the correct peeling systems for you and your clients.
 
Duration
 
One day practical and self-study from home.
 
Much of the qualification is completed as home-study, making this an ideal route for those who wish to study flexibly around other commitments. The practical training day required for the course will run from 8 am – 2 pm, although we ask students to arrive at 7.45 am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the training day acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.

Entry Requirements: Permanent make up certificate – Will be able to remove with permanent make up machine only facial and body tattoos within the appropriate size up to (16cmx8cm) per treatment.

 

Microblading Certificate: Will be able to remove with manual tool method only facial and body tattoos within the appropriate size up to (16cmx8cm) per treatment.

 

Body Tattooists: Will be able to remove with there own machine facial and body tattoos within the appropriate size up to (16cmx8cm) per treatment.

 

Learners who hold a certificate for both Microblading and Machine tattooing will be certified to remove using both techniques.

 

 

Can I Use This With Manual Tool Method? As I Microblade Only? Yes if you are a manual method artist this is how you will be trained to do removal.

 

I Have Seen a Webinar in the USA for Saline Removal Can I Just do That? No, in the UK you will need hands on training to enable you to get insurance for removal. There will be a test before the hands on training to confirm understanding.

 

Can I Offer This as a Body Tattoo Artist? Yes you can. This course is open to Body tattooists, Permanent Make Up artists and Microbladers.
